Job type: 21 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension to a permanent role | full-time (35 hours per week) 

 

Salary: up to £23,000.00, per annum (dependent on experience) 

 

Location: Reading (with flexibility for remote working)

We are going through an exciting period of growth at Education Development Trust, and we are offering the opportunity for a highly motivated person to join our Business Development team. As the Bid & Proposal Coordinator Apprentice, you will get involved in a range of administrative and transactional tasks such as providing support to all functions, assisting with the quality and timely completion of proposal submissions, organising meetings, structuring and writing proposal content, co-ordinating relevant activities, document management and responding to a range of queries. 


We are looking for someone who is IT literate with experience of using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will have a willingness to help others, have good communication skills, and be keen to benefit from this apprenticeship scheme and from the experience of working within the Business Development Team.


With the support of our apprenticeship provider, this role includes the opportunity to study for the Bid & Proposal Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 through monthly tutorials and practical application.


To be successful in this role you will:

- have a willingness to start a Bid & Proposal Apprentice Level 3 

- have experience of working collaboratively and can demonstrate the ability to build relationships

- have excellent communication skills

- have the ability to follow processes and procedures 

- enjoy working as part of a team

- be IT literate, with intermediate level knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Entry requirements for apprenticeship:

- English and Maths GCSE grades 4-9 or Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

- You must not have a qualification in the same subject area at the same or a higher level.
